After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel. As we leave Kathmandu, you’ll notice the transition from urban life to peaceful natural surroundings. The drive is adventurous and might feel thrilling at times as we navigate ridges and steep hills.
We will make stops along the way for lunch, snacks, and restroom breaks. Syabrubesi is a picturesque village located on the bank of the Bhote Koshi River, surrounded by lush green hills. We'll wake up to the soothing sound of the river. After breakfast, we begin our trek by crossing a suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi River. After a short walk, we reach a hydropower station and transition to a natural trail.
This day is about connecting with nature—enjoy breaks to rest, breathe deeply, and appreciate the serene environment. We pass through Pairo, where we can stop for tea or coffee, and continue to Bamboo for lunch. From here, the trail gently ascends near the river, offering the sounds of rushing water and birdsong. After another suspension bridge, we trek uphill to Rimche, where there may be chances to spot wildlife like mountain goats, musk deer, and various birds.
After a short descent and flat trail, we reach Lama Hotel—nestled by the river and surrounded by forested ridges. Check in, rest, enjoy a warm chimney fire, have dinner, and sleep.

After an early breakfast, we begin trekking along the Langtang River. Soon, we’ll catch glimpses of Langtang Lirung Himal. After around 2 hours of walking, we reach Doban for a tea/coffee break.
Continuing through a forested and sometimes steep trail, we cross a suspension bridge and arrive at Ghodatabela for lunch. Afterward, the trail becomes smoother with gentle ascents. As we climb higher, the landscape shifts with smaller trees and open valley views. We cross another suspension bridge before reaching Langtang Village.
Langtang Valley is surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks like Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal. Despite being devastated in the 2015 earthquake, the village has been rebuilt and warmly welcomes trekkers again. After checking into the hotel, we explore the area, enjoy a fire, dinner, and rest.

After breakfast, we trek through the open valley, passing chortens and stone mani walls. As tree density decreases, we enjoy panoramic views of peaks like Langtang Lirung, Sisapangma, and ridges like Kyanjin Ri and Tserko Ri. We pass peaceful settlements like Mundu before ascending towards Kyanjin Gompa, crossing a long suspension bridge.
Kyanjin Gompa offers breathtaking mountain views. After lunch and a brief rest, we take a 2–3 hour round trip hike to the glacier for a close-up view of the mountains and ice. Later, we visit the local cheese factory to taste or buy yak cheese. In the evening, we enjoy warmth by the chimney, dinner, and rest.
After enjoying the morning view and breakfast, you have three options:
Option I – Tserko Ri Hike (Approx. 5,000m)
A challenging but rewarding 6–7 hour round trip that offers incredible panoramic views of the Langtang range and distant Tibetan peaks. The trail is flat at first and then ascends steeply towards the summit, requiring good physical fitness.
Option II – Kyanjin Ri Hike (Approx. 4,700m)
This 4–5 hour round trip is slightly easier but still offers stunning mountain and glacier views. The trail is mostly uphill.
Option III – Rest and Explore
You can choose to rest, explore Kyanjin Gompa, visit the monastery, or simply relax and enjoy the views.
